Tjanšans

Tian Shan

TjanÅ¡ana vidusdaČā atrodas viens no pasaulē lielākajiem augstkalnu ezeriem Isikuls. TjanÅ¡anā sākas vairākas lielas upes, arÄ« uz austrumiem plÅ«stošās Sirdarja un Ile.

Tian Shan, meaning the Mountains of Heaven or the Heavenly Mountain, is a large system of mountain ranges located in Central Asia. Tian Shan is north and west of the Taklamakan Desert and directly north of the Tarim Basin in the border region of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Xinjiang in Northwest China. In the south it links up with the Pamir Mountains and to north and east it meets the Altai Mountains of Mongolia. The Tian Shan have a number of named ranges which are often mentioned separately. In the central part of Tian Shan locates Lake Issyk-Kul.

1978.gads / year 1978

1978. gada vasarā LVU organizēja ceÄŒojumus uz Z TjanÅ¡anu, Aizili Alatau un Kungeja Alatau grēdu rajonu. Inta, Jāņa Jēriņa vadÄ«tās grupas sastāvā, gāja 4. kategorijas pārgājienu: AlmaAta – Talgaras pāreja (3100m) – TEU pāreja (1B 3900m) – OPTE pāreja (2A 4180m) – Toguzaka pāreja (2A 4200m) – R Dmitrijeva pāreja (2B 4200m) – RÄ«gas pāreja (2B 4180m) – KumbeÄŒa pāreja (3190) – Isikula ezers, bet Juris un Viesturs, ZigfrÄ«da Račko vadÄ«tās grupas sastāvā, 3. kategorijas pārgājienu: AlmaAta – Butakovska pāreja (3000m) – Popova pāreja (1B 4200m) – Kugantora pāreja (1A 3800m) – Isikula ezers – Kugantora pāreja (1A 3800m) – OPTE pāreja (2A 4180m) – Bivačnij pāreja (2A 4250m) – Kokbulaka (1A 3980) pāreja – Issikas ciems. Å is kalnu rajons uz ziemeÄŒiem no Isikkula ezera ir ÄŒoti skaists, ar bagātÄ«gu augu valsti, TjanÅ¡ana egÄŒu (Picea schrenkiana) meÅŸiem, skaistiem augstkalnu ezeriem un sniegotām virsotnēm. Te gan notiek arÄ« lielas dabas katastrofas, morēnu ezeru pārrāvuma gadÄ«jumā sÄ“ÄŒi izposta ielejas, ceÄŒus, tiltus un ēkas, ir daudz cilvēku upuru. Å is reÄ£ions ir viegli pieejams, ērtie piebraukÅ¡anas ceÄŒi, lielpilsētas Alma Atas tuvums un skaistais Isikula ezers padara to par ÄŒoti populāru un apmeklētu kalnu rajonu.

In the summer of 1978 LSU organized trips to North Tian Shan: Trans-Ili Alatau and Kungey Alatau ranges. Inta participated in the 4th category mountains hike led by Janis Jerins: AlmaAta – Talgar Pass (3100m) – TEU Pass (1B 3900m) – OPTE Pass (2A 4180m) – Toguzaka Pass (2A 4200m) – W Dmitrijev Pass (2B 4200m) – Riga Pass (2B 4180m) – Kumbel Pass (3190) – Lake Issyk-Kul. In the group led by Zigfrids Racko, Juris and Viesturs took part 3rd category mountain hike: AlmaAta – Butakovsky Pass (3000m) – Popov Pass (1B 4200m) – Kugantor Pass (1A 3800m) – Lake Issyk-Kul – Kugantor Pass (1A 3800m) – OPTE Pass (2A 4180m) – Bivachnij Pass (2A 4250m) – Kokbulak Pass (1A 3980) – Issyk Village. This mountainous area north of Lake Issyk-Kul is very beautiful, with rich vegetation, forests of the Tian Shan spruce (Picea schrenkiana), beautiful alpine lakes and snow-capped peaks. Although there are somtime major natural disasters, in the event when landslides come from overflowing moraine lakes, valleys, roads, bridges and buildings are destroyed, and there are many casualties. This region is easily reachable, with convenient access roads, the proximity of the city of Alma Ata and the beautiful Lake Issyk-Kul making it a very popular and visited mountain area.

1989.gads / year 1989

After many years, Tian Shan, this time by the Terskey Ala-too and Akshiyrak ranges, was visited by Juris when, as member of group led by Adrians Stuklis, an 5th category route: Tian Shan Meteostation – Bokovaya Pass (1B 4300m) – Kalpakovsky Pass (2A 4250m) – Ulyanovcev Pass (3A 4400m) – Bezimjanny Pass (2B 4650m) – N Jamansu Pass (1B 4520m) – S Chomoy Pass (2A 4700m) – Siberians Pass (2B 4950m) – Baitor Pass (3A 4500m) – Jetioguz Valley. Terskey Ala-too is located south of Lake Issyk-Kul with an average altitude of 4500m, extends in the EW direction and is 375 km long. Its valleys have glaciers that is source to many rivers, and on the south – steppe covered highland plains called sirts. The Akshiyrak Ridge, located south of Terskey Ala-too, is a large glaciation center with 59 glaciers with whole area of 440 km². The mountain hike was outstanding by the diversity of nature, when the northern slopes covered with spruce forests change with the high lands steppes in the south and the glacial areas in the Akshiyrak ridge.
